Born to a pack of Grammy winning and nominated musicians, Sam was seemingly preordained to a path of musical creativity. The multi-instrumentalist and composer/arranger got his first taste for performance playing bass and screaming in punk bands as a teenager and performed at some of the legendary NYC rock dives, including CBGB’s and the Continental. But during his time at Manhattan School of Music, trumpet began taking top priority and since graduating has toured 49 states and 30+ countries with orchestras, Broadway shows, and rock bands.
When not on the road, Sam is very active in numerous ongoing recording ventures including his solo project, Hudson Hank, whose debut record, “Daybreak”, was produced by Coldplay’s Guy Berryman. Recently, Sam served for 2 years on lead trumpet with the 1st national tour of An American in Paris, and in Denver on touring productions of Wicked, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and White Christmas as a local. Prior to relocating to Denver, Sam worked extensively as a freelancer in NYC, subbing frequently on Broadway and performing in venues like Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher, Brooklyn Academy of Music, etc…
